Between 2011 and 2019, I was part of the mathematics education research group at the University of Bremen. In 2016, I completed my dissertation on the development of algebraic structure sense in classroom instruction. Afterwards, I worked as a postdoc researcher in the research project Multimodal Algebra lernen (MAL), where we probed the potential of a multimodal algebra learnings system.
My latest publication in English is part of a special issue of Digital Experiences in Mathematics Education edited by Sophie Soury-Lavergne and Ricardo Nemirovsky. Estela Vallejo Vargas, Angelika Bikner-Ahsbahs, David Reid, and I wrote about the design of a touch gesture for division in the MAL project.
